DBT Program for Middle Schoolers

DBT Multifamily Skills Training for Middle Schoolers & Parents

Wednesdays 5:45-6:45pm at The Koch Center in Waldwick

This DBT Program treats Middle Schoolers (5th-7th graders) with a variety of diagnoses including anxiety, depression, OCD, emotion regulation disorders, self-harm/impulse disorders, and eating disorders. Our DBT Program for Middle Schoolers teaches the full set of DBT Skills to kids and their parents (so that parents can reinforce the skills at home during the week), with homework to review throughout the week. It takes approximately 6 months to go through all DBT modules (Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Middle Path).  Individuals in our DBT program must be in weekly individual therapy (at The Koch Center or with their own outside therapist). Weekly attendance is mandatory for all participants.

*One or Both Parents are required to attend each week.

Please contact Dr. Cyndi Koch at 201-670-6450 x1 with any questions.
