Adult DBT Program

Adult DBT Program

The Koch Center’s Adult DBT Program is for adults with a variety of diagnoses including anxiety, depression, OCD, BPD, self-harm/impulse disorders, bipolar disorder, and eating disorders. Our program teaches the full set of DBT Skills (Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Mindfulness), reinforcing them throughout the week. It is an extensive skills-building program that helps individuals target specific behaviors and goals, and teaches healthy skill sets for more effective coping, self-management, and decision making. It takes approximately 6.5 months to go through all DBT modules.

The Adult DBT Program at The Koch Center consists of two components: the weekly DBT Skills Group and a weekly individual DBT therapy session. After graduating from the skills group, one may continue in individual therapy if appropriate.

IMPORTANT:  Individuals attend 1-3 days/nights depending on clinical necessity and treatment team recommendations.  We customize people’s treatment plan to best fit their specific needs.  For example, some people may attend one group per week.  Others may attend two or more groups per week to create an intensive level of support.
